grace (Jesus) is transformative power
We believe grace is not a concept, rather it is the person of Jesus. As believers, we are possessed with the very life of Christ and all that this includes. We are transformed daily by the life of Christ in us as we keep our focus on Jesus. God’s ability is at work in us, transforming us body, soul and spirit.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

God first loved us and He continues to love us every moment of every day. Because His love is infused into us through the work Jesus completed on the cross, we are more than able to love God and also love people. We would do well to allow this to impact every part of our lives: family relationships, work relationships, how we interact in society, our connection with God – all of our lives.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

As believers we possess the very life of Christ in every part of our being. But it it is also an ongoing work in us (via the Holy Spirit) to renew our minds and submit our bodies to the truth of our lives with God. We are ever growing, ever changing, ever learning new perspectives and ever experiencing things the way God does. It is a daily and life-long journey to keep growing.
But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
